AnnotShare Demo Day

This page introduces each AnnotShare tool first, then gives users a combined scenario where they can decide when each tool would help.

Fading ink tool scenario
Tool 1

Fading Ink Tool

This first section introduces fading ink. Users can draw temporary marks on the screen, and the ink fades after a few seconds.

User study task:

Ask the user to draw or point out something on the screen using fading ink.

Fading ink is off.

Shared anchor point scenario
Tool 2

Shared Anchor Point

This section introduces shared anchor points. Users can place numbered pins on the screen so both people know what part is being discussed.

User study task:

Ask the user to place an anchor point where the helper should look next.

Voice Highlight

This section introduces voice highlight. For the prototype, the voice command is mocked with buttons so we can test the idea without needing real microphone support.

User study task:

Ask the user to say one of the prompts below. Then click the matching mock button to show what the voice highlight would do.

Combined Tools User Story

This final section puts the tools together. The user moves through a short scenario and chooses when fading ink, anchor points, or voice highlight would help most.
